Technical Manager

I Apparel is looking for a Technical Manager to join our team.

Job Responsibility

  • To manage Product Development team to engineer right quality and cost product according to or above buyer’s expectation, timely to secure order and approve on time for production.
  • To manage small quantity production team profitability and produce product in conformity with Brand approval and requirement and ship full- and on-time shipment.


Job Duties

  • To call for product development meeting, follow product development meeting check list to give clear written preventive and execution instruction in Apparel Ezi Call-out to product development team to handle product critical points to be production viable and meet Brand requirement.
  • To do research and innovate on work methods, new automatic production equipment, machineries, attachments, guides, folders and use of template with product development team to lower production cycle time and continue make product process improvement to improve profitability.
  • To always put product safety first when making product to ensure the product meet USA “CPSIA” and Europe "GPSA" requirement.
  • To manage product development team to follow work process and timely execute their task right first time, according to or above buyer’s expectation.
  • To communicate directly with brand technical team to resolve technical call-out on the fit and construction and work with team to make immediate correction in 2 D or 3D pattern (CLO) and make and submit sample to get fit approved for production.
  • To manage product development team to ensure only approved information, pattern & marker, SMV and sample with approved chop are provide to factory.
  • To plan small quantity production, drive profit, quality, quantity and efficiency to meet on time shipment.
  • To submit monthly Product Development Team KPI report to management on:
    1.) Department Cost
    2.) Sample Output & Cost
    3.) Sample cost by Brand
    4.) Sample 1st time approval rate
    5.) Improvement and internal produce saving
    6.) TPM machine cost & saving
    7.) Maintenance cost & saving
  • To submit weekly & monthly small production Team Factory KPI report to management on:
    1.) Finance analysis
    2.) Factory cost
    3.) Factory capacity & loading
    4.) Efficiency & rework rate & productivity
    5.) Quality performance (QCO)
    6.) Human & CSR management
    7.) Lean improvement saving report
    8.) Compliance department cost & earning
    9.) Supplier performance
  • Other duties as required and that may occasionally be necessary to support the business.


Requirements

  • Diploma or courses in pattern making & marker drafting or fashion related field.
  • At least 15 years working experience in garment production manufacturing.
  • A strong communicator with excellent spoken and written English, Chinese (Mandarin) is advantage
  • Proficiency in computer, Microsoft Word/ Excel, ERP and other office applications.
  • Strong management, planning & organization skills, able to multi-task in fast paced environment and work under tight deadlines
  • Strong business sense, negotiation, persuasive skill, capable to deal with overseas buyers / factories independently;
  • Highly motivated, self-initiated, customer-oriented, willing to achieve objectives with clear vision.
  • Presentable, responsible, result-oriented and a good team player and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a strong sense of urgency, immediately report with options and resolution.
  • To be stationed in Cambodia Headquarters
  • Business travelling is required
