Cutting Manager

Ensure efficient Cutting Section operations and quality standards. Implement 7S and Lean practices to reduce waste. Coordinate with Merchandisers and production teams for order tracking and material handling. Monitor fabric and materials to ensure timely delivery. Requires strong management skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in Cambodia.

Job Duties

  • Oversee the Cutting Section to ensure efficiency, quality, timely shipments, and profitability.
  • Enforce factory rules, policies, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Implement and maintain 7S workplace organization (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety, Spirit) and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Promote Lean thinking to eliminate waste in processes, addressing Transportation, Inventory, Motion, Waiting, Overproduction, Over-processing, Defects, and Employee talent utilization.
  • Manage Total Preventive Maintenance on equipment, report defects, and ensure all tools are in optimal condition.
  • Coordinate with Merchandisers for order tracking, material approval, and production planning.
  • Organize and lead pre-production meetings to ensure clear instructions for manufacturing, including material matching, fabric testing, and cutting processes.
  • Monitor fabric and material quantities, manage waste, and coordinate with quality supervisors for approvals.
  • Oversee sewing trims and packaging materials to ensure compliance with purchase orders.
  • Track order progress and coordinate with all involved parties to ensure timely production and shipment.

  • Requirements

  • Diploma or relevant courses in Fashion, Apparel, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the apparel industry with a strong passion for the field.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, ERP systems, and other office applications.
  • Strong management, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • Highly motivated, self-initiated, and customer-oriented with a clear vision.
  • Mature, energetic, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Based in Cambodia with a hands-on approach to daily operations.
